Hatch, the innovation hub built by Singapore’s HTX and supported by SOSA and Knovel Engineering invites you to come forward and explore the dual-use potential of your tech! Discover how your solutions can break through and address the challenges of the homeland security (HLS) domain in Singapore, while you get the opportunity to validate your tech and secure non-equity funding to explore its potential.

About the program

Dimension X is an Open Innovation Challenge by Hatch aiming to attract and validate emerging dual-use technologies from global startups that could produce game-changing impact on public safety and security.

In collaboration with HTX (Home Team Science & Technology Agency), SOSA, and Knovel Engineering, Hatch was established to advance innovation in public safety and security.

Startups participating in the challenge will be funded to collaborate with Home Team end users and HTX’s technical experts to develop a success proof-of-concept.

We’re looking for technologies in:

Data Extraction
Extract textual information from different sources (e.g., excel, scanned notes) into pre-defined templates
Data Curation
Data curation tools for on-premise LLM/LMM training
Embodied AI
AI foundational models for multi-functional robots
Video Compression
Video compression for low-bandwidth, real-time transmission and storage optimisation.
Video Enhancement
Real-time video enhancement in rainy conditions
Drone Detection
Detect drones made of unconventional materials (e.g. cardboard)
Mixed Reality
Transmit sense of taste and/or smell through virtual environment
Digital Twin
Create interactive 3D digital twin to simulate decision making scenarios
Spectral Imaging
Acquire material and compound data using spectral imaging
Forensics
Identify DNA profiles from a DNA mixture
Out-of-the-box Technologies

What you gain
Get a SGD$100,000
non-equity funding
The programme will provide participating startups with a non-equity funding of S$100,000 to lay the groundwork for transition into the public safety & security sector.
Put your technology to the test
Selected startups will have the opportunity to trial and implement their solutions in real-world scenarios with HTX (Home Team Science and Technology Agency) for Singapore’s public safety and security.
Have your potential client as part of your development process
An expert from HTX will join your team and will work with you to develop a successful Proof-of-Concept.
Access to global networks through high-profile events
In addition to the accelerator program, startups will have the opportunity to exhibit and/or pitch at global events held in Singapore. Such events include SWITCH, TechXSummit (TXS) and Milipol.
Get the business tools you need
Participating startups will receive legal, business, accounting and marketing mentoring. SOSA’s innovation experts will map out participants’ needs and devise a financial plan built to achieve milestones.
Develop commercially and technologically
Participants will be exposed to potential investors and relevant industries in order to assist their commercial and technological development.

Wonder Robotics specializes in autonomous flight and landing solutions for commercial drones. Their flagship product, WonderLand, enables vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) drones to land safely and autonomously on uncharted, unprepared, and unattended sites without operator involvement.

Through Dimension X, Wonder Robotics received essential funding and critical end-user insights, helping them refine product development, align with market needs, and advance roadmap priorities.
Through the program, we were able to refine our product at a critical stage and introduce our product to the defense ecosystem. The program’s grant and introduction to key investment took us to the next level.

About Hatch
Hatch was established by Singapore’s Home Team Science and Technology (HTX),  in collaboration with  Knovel Engineering and as an innovation hub for public safety and security.

It was launched on 30 May 2023 by Minister K. Shanmugam, Minister for Home Affairs and Minister for Law, Singapore.

Hatch scouts across industry verticals to identify the right technologies and companies to be tested in the Home Team’s mission space.
