About Innofense
The SOSA-Innofense Accelerator is a unique dual-use tech program designed to bridge the civilian and security world. The program supports the development process for the unique security needs and challenges of the IDF.
The program will accelerate innovative ideas and support them in POCs and real-world implementations, allowing participants to work hand in hand with MoD’s design partners.
The Accelerator program is located in Tel Aviv.
The Innofense Program is seeking solutions in one or more of the following areas:
Sensors
- Solutions for sensing explosive materials in large complexes
- Phased array antenna solution for small aircraft
Algorithms and Image Processing
- Shrapnel detection using AI based on ultrasound or other medical device technology.
- AI based visual inspection for aerial platforms maintenance
- Video quality enhancement in low visibility conditions.
- Automated video interview analysis
- Solutions and methods for data extraction from event based cameras
Cloud Services and Security
- Solutions to secure the use of LLM models in a public cloud environment.
- Platform to support collaboration and management of AI/ML development.
Social Media Analysis
- Solutions to analyze narratives, sentiments, emotions and trends in social media sites.
- Solutions to counter foreign influence operations on social media sites.
Fintech
- Novel solutions to identify suspicious crypto to fiat transfers and de-anonymizing of crypto wallets (i.e. establish real world identity).
Spectrum and RF Intelligence
- Low-cost mobile spectrum monitoring platform.
- Open-source solutions to gain insight on spectral conditions (Emphasis on Wifi & Bluetooth protocols).
- Detecting obstructions on Earth and in space, displaying a heat map of the interference location, and locating the obstruction.
Logistics and Maintenance
- Fast mobile quality testing solution for diesel fuels.
- Solutions for Helium gas leak detection and monitoring.
- Technological solution to keep pigeons off of buildings.
- A solution to quickly and silently attach tactical equipment to a concrete wall.
Marine and Navigation Solutions
- Autonomous navigation solutions for maritime based UAV’s.
- A solution for cloud measurement data from a maritime vessel.
- Non-violent takedown of maritime vessel.
Energy
- A silent energy generator solution with an energy density > 200Wh/kg, based on sources available in the field.
Search and Rescue
- Lightweight and reusable solution for body warming in the field.
- Novel solutions to identify trapped personnel under rubble/destroyed sites.

- Innovative technologies with the potential to address the current security challenges.

About SOSA HLS
SOSA HLS is the Homeland Security and Defense division of SOSA, dedicated to developing and implementing open innovation programs, accelerators, and innovation hubs for defense and homeland security agencies.
They focus on identifying and integrating dual-use technologies that connect cutting-edge civilian innovations with the needs of HLS and defense sectors.
Leveraging SOSA's extensive global network of tech innovation hubs, the HLS & Defense Innovation Hub acts as a vital conduit for industry leaders like Leonardo, Elta-IAI, Rafael, and Singapore's Home Team Science and Technology Agency (HTX) to access disruptive technologies worldwide.
The SOSA HLS team is led by two managing partners with extensive experience in the field:
- Eric Kerten, Managing Partner SOSA HLS
Eric leads SOSA HLS Open Innovation programs. Before joining SOSA, he served in the Israeli Security Agency (Shabak) and was the co-founder and CEO of several international companies in the HLS and defense domain. Eric also sits on the advisory board of several leading organizations in the HLS and defense sector.
- Col. (Res) David Rokach, Managing Partner SOSA HLS
David leads the SOSA HLS open innovation programs and accelerators for international defense companies and the Israeli Ministry of Defense. With over 30 years of experience, David has served as the Head of the Weapons System Division in the IDF and held key positions including VP at Aeronautics and Senior Security Director at "Peres & Associates," led by Former Israel President Shimon Peres.
