About the program

The SOSA-HTX Open Innovation Challenge is a unique dual-use technologies accelerator program designed to identify and cultivate early-stage ideas into breakthrough science and tech solutions for public safety and security.
By connecting and building an ecosystem of startup innovators, the program supports and accelerates technology innovation for a safer tomorrow.

Participating startups will work alongside HTX’s experts on Proof-of-Concept to validate their technologies for real-world implementations.
The Accelerator program is located in Tel Aviv.
The demo day will be held in Singapore (sponsored by HTX)

The program is seeking solutions in one or more of the following areas:

Frontline Emergency & Rescue

  • Offline indoor positioning
  • Sense-making and information sorting for rapid incident understanding
  • Rapid vein localisation for intravenous cannulation
02.

Health and People Monitoring

  • Remote indoor people identification and counting
  • Remote real-time health monitoring
  • Early detection of emotional distress or stress signals
03.

Border Security

  • Remote counting of passengers in vehicles
  • Rapid screening of drive-through vehicles and/or passengers
04.

Speech Processing

  • Speaker diarisation for a multi-speaker environment​
  • Transcription of multi-lingual or colloquial conversation

  • Seeking highly innovative and impactful technologies relevant to public safety and security

Put your technology to the test

Selected startups will have the opportunity to trial and implement their solutions in real-world scenarios with HTX (Home Team Science and Technology Agency) for Singapore’s public safety and security.

Get a $50,000
non-equity funding

The program will provide participating startups with a non-equity fund of $50,000 to lay the groundwork for transition into the homeland security sector.

Have your potential client as part of your development process

An expert from HTX will join your team and will work with you to develop a successful Proof-of-Concept.

Access to global networks through high-profile events

In addition to the accelerator program, startups will have the opportunity to exhibit and/or pitch at global events held in Singapore. Such events include SWITCH, TechXSummit (TXS) and Milipol.

Get the business tools you need

Participating startups will receive legal, business, accounting and marketing mentoring. SOSA’s innovation experts will map out participants’ needs and devise a financial plan built to achieve milestones.

Develop commercially and technologically

Participants will be exposed to potential investors and relevant industries in order to assist their commercial and technological development.

Hatch is established by Singapore’s Home Team Science and Technology (HTX) as an innovation hub for public safety and security, in collaboration with SOSA. It was launched on 30 May 2023 by Minister K. Shanmugam, Minister for Home Affairs and Minister for Law, Singapore.
